Sometimes flexible dieting is not the best option for someone to begin with, particularly for people who have low levels of nutritional knowledge. Following food plans will help people understand what foods make up their macros (protein, fats & carbs). ⁠

Most methods of flexible dieting allow you to swap foods out for equal or similar nutritional value: ⁠

👉 If you don't want meat then swap to fish⁠
👉 If you don't want salad then swap to veg⁠
👉 If you don't want rice then swap to potato⁠
👉 If you don't want olive oil then swap to avocado⁠
👉 If you don't want an orange then swap to an apple⁠

This gives you structure with some flexibility, as what you like and enjoy may be totally different to the next person. Adherence to a rigid food plan can be extremely hard for some after a couple of weeks. Flexible dieting provides the structure along with flexibility to help dramatically increase dietary adherence. ⁠
